N’Golo Kante ‘happy’ at Chelsea despite transfer rumours

Chelsea midfielder N’Golo Kante is ‘good’ at the club despite links to both Paris Saint-Germain and Real Madrid.

A report from El Desmarque last month outlined the intention of Los Blancos, who are said to view the France international as the ideal candidate to bolster their central midfield options, and still view James Rodriguez as expendable.

Kante won back-to-back Premier League titles with Leicester City and Chelsea before winning the World Cup with his nation last year.

The 28-year-old is now the star player at the West London club following Eden Hazard’s move to Madrid this summer and it is said that Zinedine Zidane is a big admirer of his fellow countryman.

“Sometimes, you do not know where you want to go,” Kante told Canal+.

“However, we know what we have. I know I am with Chelsea and I am good with them.

“If I did not want to join PSG, it was more of a sporting choice. I feel good in London, with the project, and I am happy to stay.”

There have been doubts expressed about the form of Casemiro and it is claimed that Kante would be a direct upgrade on the Brazilian holding midfielder.

Another stumbling block to such a move would be the financial outlay with the Europa League holders set to demand a huge sum for any interested bidder.
