Gerard Pique admits to Barcelona Champions League struggles

Barcelona defender Gerard Pique had admitted the club are finding it hard to maintain consistency in Champions League this season.

The Catalan side slipped to a disappointing 0-0 draw at home to Czech Republic side Slavia Prague at the Camp Nou, leaving Ernesto Valverde's side in need of another win to secure qualification for the last 16.

Former Spanish international Pique confirmed in his post match interwiew that he is concerned about their recent form in Europe and in La Liga.

"We are not playing well at the moment," the centre back told reporters after the game, cited in Marca.

"It is the same situation in La Liga and in the Champions League."

"Results are not good at the moment, but it is not as bad as it looks."

"We must keep calm and improve on our results."

"However, if we continue to play like this it is difficult to win the Champions League."

"We have had difficult moments in the past, as we did under Luis Enrique, but then we won the treble."

Barcelona now face back to back Champions League games against Inter Milan and Borussia Dortmund, to secure a place in the knockout stages, alongside La Liga games against Celta Vigo, Leganes, Atletico Madrid and Real Mallorca.
