Ernesto Valverde: Antoine Griezmann is not untouchable at Barcelona

Barcelona manager has issued a warning to striker Antoine Griezmann, that his place in the starting line up is not guaranteed.

The French international, who completed a controversial €120M move from rival Atletico Madrid in the summer, has enjoyed a strong start to life at the Camp Nou.

Griezmann has started eight of Barcelona's La Liga games so far this season, and came off the bench in the midweek 5-1 win at home to Real Valladolid in midweek.

The former Real Sociedad man was replaced in starting team by teenage sensation Ansu Fati, and despite being included in the squad for the trip to Levante later today, Valverde stated there is still work for Griezmann to do.

"He has played regularly in the team since he arrived.

"For the last game I made changes to the team, including him.

"But I do not like to have any players as undisputed starters.

"Griezmann will play if it is the right situation, and he is meeting the requirements that are expected of him."

Valverde also warned against complacency, ahead of the trip to the Ciutat de Valencia.

Reminding his players that Levante have performed well so far his seasons, and in Jose Luis Morales and Hernani, they do have players that can hurt the defending La Liga champions.
