Barcelona are considering a summer move for Inter Milan midfielder Stefano Sensi, according to reports in Diario Sport.
Sensi is currently on a season long loan at the San Siro from fellow Serie A side Sassuolo, with Antonio Conte's side retaining a option to buy the Italian international for a fee of €25M at the end of the campaign.
His impressive performances for Conte's side so far in 2019-20 are likely to mean that they will look to make his move a permanent one in 2020.
However the clause does not offer a preference for them, with Barcelona potentially going to directly to Sassuolo with their interest in the coming months.
But this is just one potential strategy for Ernesto Valverde's side, as they are also aware of Inter's keen intention to bring Croatian international Ivan Rakitic to Italy from the Camp Nou.
The clubs could negotiate a deal which would allow the out of favour Rakitic move on in January, with La Blaugrana making a move for Sensi in the summer, with Inter withdrawing their interest in the 24-years old.
