Raul calls for patience on Barcelona star Ansu Fati

Former Real Madrid star Raul Gonzalez has asked for fans to be patient with teenage sensation Ansu Fati.

Fati has risen to stardom so far this season, after being handed his Barcelona first team debut by Ernesto Valverde, following injuries to Luis Suarez and Lionel Messi at the start of the campaign.

The 16-year old has also received a call up to Luis de la Fuente's Spain U21 squad, but former La Liga legend Raul believes has warned against placing too much pressure on him.

"When young players appear, it is important to have patience and enjoy them.

"It is a positive for football that these young players are developing.

"I am the type of person to have patience with these young players, and allow them to show what they can do on the pitch.

"I hope others are the same."

Fati has netted two goals in his first ever five appearances for the Catalan side so far this season, and Raul knows exactly what it takes to be a young star in La Liga.

He became the youngest ever player in the Spanish top flight, aged 17 years and 164 days back in 1994, scoring nine La Liga goals n his debut season for Los Blancos.
