Barcelona scouting Inter trio during clash

Barcelona are to use their clash with Inter on Wednesday night to scout three of the Italian side’s stars, according to reports.

Italian media outlet Calciomercato say that Inter’s central defender Milan Skriniar is liked by the Blaugrana club officials, alongside his teammates Stefano Sensi (pictured) and Lautaro Martinez.

Skriniar is a Slovakian international who has been a rock at the heart of Inter’s defence across recent seasons while Sensi – an international with Italy – is a midfielder who joined from Sassuolo this summer.

Martinez, a 22-year-old striker, who only joined the Milanese giants in 2018 – signing from Racing Club in Argentina for €23m.

The striker has netted seven Serie A goals across 33 appearances for the Nerazzurri and once across seven appearances in Europe.

He has started five of the first seven matches for Antonio Conte’s side this season but his fellow countryman Mauro Icardi has departed to Paris Saint-Germain, with Romelu Lukaku and Alexis Sanchez both joining.
