Brahim Diaz returns for Real Madrid after injury

Brahim Diaz has returned to Real Madrid after missing four weeks with an abdominal injury, according to Diario AS.

The 20-year-old missed the majority of Madrid’s pre-season with a hamstring injury before suffering the fresh setback in late August.

Brahim featured in 11 matches last season after joining in a January deal from Manchester City and appears to have a bright future at the club.

Indeed, the youth international started four of their final five La Liga games last season, quelling reports that he would be allowed to leave on loan this summer.

The player’s father has since become his agent and it appears that his long-term future lies in Madrid, and he may yet be afforded more first-team opportunities this season.

There are a number of players currently unavailable through injury for Zinedine Zidane’s side including Isco, Marco Asensio, Fede Valverde and Luka Modric, while Gareth Bale is also suspended.
