Real Betis are set to launch a double transfer raid before the window closes on September 2nd.
They have been linked with a move for Espanyol forward Borja Iglesias for the majority of the summer, and a deal for the 26-year old looks to be close as Real Betis prepare to pay his €28m release clause with the Catalan club.
However according to reports in Marca, they also want to sign defender Alex Moreno from relegated side Rayo Vallecano – with manager Rubi hopeful that the pair will be part of Real Betis' La Liga opener against Real Valladolid on August 18.
If those deal are completed, the club will look to make one final purchase ahead of the new signing, after identifying the need for cover in midfield following the departures of Giovani Lo Celso and Victor Camarasa to Tottenham and Crystal Palace respectively.
It has been a busy summer of ingoings and outgoings at the Estadio Benito Villamarin, with defender Junior Firpo moving to FC Barcelona and French international Nabil Fekir joining from Olympique Lyon.
