Dani Carvajal insists his Coach Zinedine Zidane and Real Madrid ‘are more prepared than ever’ ahead of the new season.
An underwhelming pre-season has seen doubts expressed for Los Blancos ahead of the new campaign, where they are under pressure to make a strong start.
“Zidane is very important, as he was as a player and as he was during his first spell as coach,” Carvajal explained to Omnisport, as cited by Marca.
“I hope he will be [important] again in his second spell [as Coach].The Coach is more prepared than ever. He has experience that he didn't have before. He has the respect and confidence of all of us and that's the first step in going far.
“The Coach is testing players, [different] systems… a little bit of everything and the aim is to arrive with the best chance of victory on the 17th [August, the start of La Liga against Celta Vigo at Balaidos].
“The start of every season is the most exciting time; you have to look at it that way. If you want to mark an era, you have to reset every summer.”
