Sevilla resigned to Wissam Ben Yedder exit

Sevilla are resigned to losing striker Wissam Ben Yedder this summer with Milan, Napoli and Roma among the clubs interested, say Estadio Deportivo.

The 28-year-old has recently told reporters that he will consider a transfer this summer while last month, Diario AS cited a report from Soccerlink.fr that there has already been contact from Paris Saint-Germain.

ABC de Sevilla then cited a report in France Football outlining United’s intention of landing the striker, who would theoretically replace Romelu Lukaku – who is in talks to join Italian club Inter.

The fresh report outlines interest from an Italian trio of clubs in the striker, whose intention appears to be leave to the Andalusian club this summer.

“I dream of playing at the highest level, in the biggest clubs in the world and being next to world class players,” Ben Yedder explained earlier this month, in quotes cited by ABC de Sevilla.

“I want to see how far I can go and it is the right time (to leave), as they say.

“I cannot be disrespectful to the club, whatever the final decision, I'll be fine, I'm not worried about my future.

“I will take stock after the international fixtures, but it will also be Sevilla who decide.”

The striker joined Los Rojiblancos from Toulouse in 2016 in a €9m deal and has scored 70 goals across all competitions in the time since.

Ben Yedder netted twice in Sevilla’s famous Champions League Round of 16 victory against Manchester United a season ago – to qualify the club for their first quarter-final of the competition in six decades.
