Gareth Bale’s agent slams ‘disgraceful’ Zinedine Zidane

Gareth Bale's agent has launched a stinging attack on Real Madrid boss Zinedine Zidane after he revealed the cub's plans to sell him

Zidane told reporters following their 3-1 pre season defeat to Bayern Munich in the United States that the club are negotiating the sale of the Bale, and that was the reason for his omission from the match day squad to face the German side.

Zidane also added that the sooner Bale leaves the club the better, with the Frenchman open to an immediate exit for the former Tottenham man.

This has caused irritation within Bale's camp, and his representative Jonathan Barnett has not held back in his criticism of Zidane's handling of the situation.

"Zidane is a disgrace.

"He shows no respect for a player that has done so much for Real Madrid.

"If and when Gareth does leave, it will be because it is in his best interests and nothing to do with Zidane pushing."

This is the latest chapter in a war of words between Zidane, Barnett and Real Madrid, with Barnett also criticising Zidane's negativity towards Bale following his return to the club in March.

Zidane has insisted the decision to sell Bale is not personally motivated, however the strain in their relationship has been clear, although Bale has so far appeared determined to stay in the Spanish capital.

The 30-year old won four Champions League titles, one La Liga and one Copa del Rey under Zidane, during his first spell in charge, however the pair have never enjoyed a great relationship.
