Zinedine Zidane believes Real Madrid will improve Eden Hazard

Real Madrid manager Zinedine Zidane is confident that playing for the club willl drive Eden Hazard onto another level.

The Belgian international joined Los Blancos for a club record €100m in June, after the 29-year old indicated he wanted to leave Chelsea ahead of the 2019-20 campaign.

Zidane highlighted Hazard as one of his top priorities, after returning to the club in March, and the Frenchman expects his new star signing to have a big impact in the coming months.

"I think that he needed to come here.

"He needed a club like Real Madrid.

"This club has something special, and players know that."

Zidane also commented on how he believed Hazard could take some motivation from his own playing career in the Spanish capital, after he joined from Juventus in a world record €77m in 2001 – before going on to win a La Liga and Champions League title.

"I arrived here at 29, and got better, and I think something similar will happen with him.

"I think he can get even better than he already is.

"Now that he is here, we have to get the best out of him."
