Former Real Madrid defender Fabio Contreao is set for a move to Greece in the coming weeks.
The former Portuguese international, who left the Santiago Bernabeu in 2018, after making over 100 appearances for the club over a seven year career in the Spanish capital.
After winning two La Liga titles and two Champions League titles, the experienced left back was released by former manager Julen Lopetegui and signed for former side Rio Ave.
Rio Ave have now declined their option to extend his deal for a further year, despite making 22 league appearances in a campaign that saw three managerial changes at the club.
Reports in Portuguese newspaper A Bola, he will now move to Greek side PAOK, with a deal expected to be confirmed in the coming days.
