Atalanta are considering a move for Sevilla defender Sergio Gomez, ahead of the 2019-20 seaosn.
Gomez has been heavily linked with a move away from the Estadio Ramon Sanchez Pizjuan ahead of the new season, following the signings of Diego Carlos, Jules Kounde, Max Wober and Sergio Reguilon.
New boss Julen Lopetegui wants to freshen up his first team options, and Gomez, who made 32 La Liga appearances in his debut season at the club in 2018-19, could be on his way out.
The Serie A side are hopeful of completing a €4.5m move for the 27-year old before the start of the season, according to reports in Sky Italia this weekend.
Atalanta have already confirmed the departure of Gianluca Mancini, who has joined Serie A rivals AS Roma in a €20+ deal, with Gomez providing an experienced replacement option.
