Zinedine Zidane leaves Real Madrid training camp unexpectedly

Zinedine Zidane has left Real Madrid's training camp in Montreal, Canada to return to Spain due to personal reasons, report Marca.

There has been no further reasoning disclosed for the Coach’s departure from the facilities, other than that it is not planned and has taken the club by surprise.

Los Blancos flew out to North America last week to commence their pre-season training and Zidane oversaw the opening few training sessions.

The Coach, who arrived at Montreal Impact’s training facilities with his wife, returned urgently to Europe and the club reported that his return to the squad “remains pending” on the personal situation.

Assistants David Bettoni and Hamidou Msaidie are now in charge of the side’s training sessions alongside that of physical trainer Grégory Dupont, whose work at this point in the season is particularly intense.

Zidane's sudden trip to Madrid will prevent him from meeting with Florentino Pérez, the club president, and general manager José Ángel Sánchez, who are traveling to Canada on Sunday to finalise transfer talk ahead of the new campaign.
