Real Madrid offer Gareth Bale and cash for Manchester United’s Paul Pogba

Real Madrid are willing to offer Gareth Bale plus cash to Manchester United in order to land Paul Pogba, report Marca.

Bale turns 30 next month and is not thought to be part of Zinedine Zidane’s plans at the Santiago Bernabeu, while the Madrid fans have turned on him.

He is under contract until June 2022, so reports emerged that Los Blancos could be prepared to let Bale leave on loan just to get his €15m per year salary off the books.

France international Pogba has been heavily linked with a move to the Spanish capital this summer, however Madrid are said to be unwilling to pay the €150m asking price.

Last month, the player dropped his biggest hint yet that he was going to exit the English club: “With everything that has happened (at United), I think it could be a good time to have a new challenge somewhere else.

“I am already thinking about this and what a new challenge could be.”

Pogba reportedly remains Zinedine Zidane's primary transfer target this summer and despite Madrid already spending over €300m on new players they are said to be plotting a €120m move.

The Frenchman and his agent Mino Raiola have indicated that he wants to leave Old Trafford following a disappointing campaign and he is said to be willing to take a wage cut to seal a move to the Spanish capital.

The main obstacles to a swap deal would be Bale’s supposed desire to remain in Madrid while United are said to be totally unwilling to negotiate.
