Atletico Madrid forward Antoine Griezmann will sign a five-year contract at Barcelona worth €17m per year, according to reports
It is claimed by L’Equipe – as cited by Marca – that the player will join the Blaugrana at the start of July when his release clause drops from €200m to €120m.
Atleti are keen to include Barca full-back Nelson Semedo in negotiations but the Catalan giants are reluctant to sanction that part of the negotiations.
Griezmann, 28, penned a long-term contract at Los Rojiblancos last summer after rejecting interest from Barcelona, who had pursued a deal.
Despite those previous misgivings, it has been widely reported that Barca have been in talks since March to land their long-term target this summer.
Paris Saint-Germain have also been linked with a move for the France international but it now looks increasingly likely he will remain in La Liga.
Griezmann has scored 21 goals across all competitions last season for Diego Simeone’s side and has grown into one of the world’s most in-demand players since his move from Real Sociedad in 2014.
