Radamel Falcao tips Edinson Canvani for Atletico Madrid move

Former Atletico Madrid striker Radamel Falcao has tipped Paris Saint-Germain forward Edison Cavani for a switch to the Wanda Metropolitano.

Falcao, who scored 70 goals in 91 appearances for Diego Simeone's side between 2011 and 2013, earning himself the nickname El Tigre for his goal scoring exploits, believes Cavani is the ideal replacement for Antoine Griezmann.

Griezmann is expected to complete a €120m move to FC Barcelona on July 1, when his release clause drops, and the Colombian international believes Cavani is the best option.

"For me, Edinson is a top striker, the veteran striker told an interview with Marca.

"With PSG, he has scored lots of goals, every year, and wherever he goes, he will continue to do so."

Uruguayan international Cavani is the leading scorer in the history of the French club, with 134 league goals in 186 games, however with just a year left on his contract in Paris, he could be looking for a new challenge.
