Athletic Bilbao are set to reignite their interest in Torino winger Alex Berenguer this summer.
The Basque side have been admirers of the 23-year old since his time in Spain, with Osasuna, however they have failed in two previous attempts to bring him to San Mames.
However, they are now hoping to push through a deal with the Serie A side, before the start of the 2019-20 campaign, according to reports in Marca.
The primary issue at the moment, is a difference in valuations of the Pamplona-born player, with Gaizka Garitano's side reportedly only willing to pay €6m to secure a deal.
However, Berenguer is valued at closer to €10m by Torino, and with the Italian side under no pressure to sell one of their most consistent performers in 2018-19, they are likely to hold out for a fee close to that mark.
Athletic Club's pursuit of midfield options is in part based on concern over their ability to keep hold of current stars Ibai Gomez and Inaki Williams this summer, with rumoured La Liga interest in the pair.
