Real Madrid are keen on a deal for Benfica defender and Portugal international Ruben Dias, according to Diario Sport.
It is said that striker Raul de Tomas could be included in a potential swap deal, with Madrid valuing the striker at €35m and Benfica reportedly seeing a €20m offer for the striker knocked back.
Dias has a €60m termination clause at the Portuguese champions although the report cites that both clubs enjoy a strong relationship and that could help bridge a deal.
Super-agent Jorge Mendes represents the central defender, who has already made 83 first-team appearances for the Lisbon-based giants and has been capped 11 times by Portugal, whom he helped to Sunday’s inaugural UEFA Nations League title.
The potential arrival of Dias – who has also been linked with a move to Atletico Madrid – could help hasten the departure of Nacho Fernandez to Inter, the report adds.
Madrid have already secured the signing of Porto defender Eder Militao in a €50m deal this summer alongside the signings of Luka Jovic and Eden Hazard.
