Zinedine Zidane has hailed Karim Benzema after he netted a hat trick in the 3-0 win over Athletic Bilbao.
The 30 year-old now has 21 La Liga goals in 2018-19, and he has looked like a new player following the return of Zidane to the club earlier this year.
"He is playing better than I have ever seen, since I returned to the club.
"For me, with eight goals in a row, he is the best No.9 at the moment.
"However, I am not surprised by his performances -as I know his is capable of it."
Benzema made the crucial impact in the clash with the Basque side, but Zidane added that he was happy with the performance of his side, particularly in the second half.
