Ajax manager Erik ten Hag has confirmed that highly rated defender Matthijs de Ligt will be leaving the club this summer.
De Ligt, 19, has been linked with Europe's top sides after a standout season captaining the Dutch side to the Champions League quarter finals in 2018-19.
However his manager has conceded that they simply will be able to keep him for the 2019-20 season.
"There is zero chance Matthijs de Ligt is staying at Ajax, he told German newspaper Suddeutsche Zeitung.
"There are so many clubs interested in him and he will leave this summer.
"But I don't know if he will join Barcelona or Bayern Munich."
Ernesto Valverde's side have already secured a deal for his Ajax team mate Frenkie De Jong, and he will head to the Nou Camp at the end of the season.
