Vidal: Champions League is the dream

Barcelona midfielder Arturo Vidal made no secret of where the club's attention is, following their dull 0-0 La Liga draw away at Huesca on Saturday.

Manager Ernesto Valverde rested ten players from the starting eleven that beat Manchester United in midweek – ahead of Tuesday's return leg against Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's side – with Vidal one of the players to come into the side.

La Blaugrana remain nine points clear in the title race, with Valverde channeling his attention into Europe, and he Chilean international echoed this mentality.

"Our goal is to win the league and we are close on that.

"But the dream is the Champions League."

Valverde handed league debuts to Jean-Clair Todibo, Ricard Puig and Moussa Wague, and a first La Liga appearance for the club to Jeison Murillo, and Vidal was pleased with the fringe players performance.

"I think it was a fair draw at the end.

"The players who do not always play regularly performed well today."
