Real Madrid Coach Zinedine Zidane is ‘surprised at the level’ of Brahim Diaz in the club’s training sessions, report Marca.
The 19-year-old joined Los Blancos in January in a €15m move from Manchester City but last month’s league victory over Huesca was his first start for the club.
Earlier this month, the newspaper had claimed the Malaga-native would be allowed to leave Madrid on loan this summer in order to get first-team experience elsewhere.
However, they say that his performances in training are changing the situation and Zidane could be minded promoting him to a similar position as he did with Marco Asensio in the past.
Brahim is one of the few players in Madrid's first-team squad who Zidane did not previously coach at the club.
