Everton boss Marco Silva is pushing the club to sign midfielder Andre Gomes from Barcelona in a permanent deal this summer.
The Merseyside club paid a season-long loan fee of €2.5m to land the Portuguese international but do not exercise an option to sign the midfielder permanently.
Everton want to sign the central midfielder in a permanent deal worth €25m and while the Blaugrana are said to be open to this move.
“It is a very, very good opportunity for us,” Silva is reported as saying by the Liverpool Echo.
Gomes joined Barca from Valencia in 2016 in a deal worth up to €55m but failed to settle at the Catalan giants.
