Pablo Fornals face La Liga suspension

Villarreal midfielder Pablo Fornals will be investigated by La Liga disciplinary authority following his comments to a match official following Saturday's 3-2 loss at Celta Vigo.

The 23 year-old, who came on as a second half substitute for Javier Calleja's side, and he was angry with the decision to award a late match winning penalty to he home side. 

Referee Jesus Gil Manzano confirmed in his post-match report that Fornals had approached one of his assistants in the tunnel at full time and used insulting language.

The incident will now be investigated, and if found guilty, Fornals could miss up to three games in the Yellow Submarine's relegation battle, although any ban is unlikely to come into effect before their game with Barcelona on Tuesday.
