Everton want permanent Andre Gomes deal

Everton want to make Andre Gomes' loan move from Barcelona a permanent one this summer, according to reports in The Guardian.

The Portugese international has impressed in the Toffees midfield this season during a loan spell from the Nou Camp, and manager Marco Silva wants to bring the former Valencia man to Goodison Park on a €35m deal.

Barcelona appear to be happy to let Gomes leave the club, with manager Ernesto Valverde content with his midfield options for the 2019-20 campaign.

However there are lingering doubts over whether the Premier League side can convince Gomes to leave La Liga and join them for next season.

Currently his wages are being subsidised by the Catalan side, and Everton would need to sell players to fund a bid for the 25 year-old, who is also on the radar of former club Valencia.
