The Eden Hazard to Real Madrid transfer saga wrote a new chapter this weekend after the Belgian international revealed his admiration for Los Blancos boss Zinedine Zidane.
The Chelsea forward has been widely linked with a move to the Santiago Bernabeu this summer, although that move could be in jeopardy after the Premier League side received a two year transfer ban.
He is currently on international duty with Roberto Martinez's side and he took the opportunity to declare his admiration for the former French international.
"I have a lot of respect for Zidane.
"He was my idol as a child and it is thanks to him that I started playing football"
Real Madrid club president is reported to be funding a summer transfer overhaul, with Hazard likely to be the main target, with bids Tottenham midfielder Christian Eriksen and Inter's Milan Skriniar also possible.
