Barcelona could face a battle to sign Ajax captain Matthijs de Ligt this summer, after the defender admitted he is aware of interest from Liverpool.
De Ligt, 19, has earnt rave reviews this season for his performances at the heart of the Dutch side's defence, and he is widely tipped to make a big money move away from the Johan Cruyff Arena this summer.
Ernesto Valverde's side were hopeful of convincing de Ligt to join Ajax teammate Frenkie De Jong, who has already agreed a summer move to the Nou Camp, but Jurgen Klopp's side are also on his radar.
"It (a move to Liverpool) could happen.
"They are a great side, and Van Dijk is there, and I learn a lot from playing with him for the national team.
"But now I am focused on Ajax, and we will see what happens later."
