Barcelona defender Gerard Pique has remained positive despite his side’s 2-0 defeat at Sevilla in the Copa del Rey: “We still have the second leg.”
Goals from Pablo Sarabia and Wissam Ben Yedder confirmed the Catalan side to a two-goal loss ahead of next week’s second leg at the Camp Nou.
“This was Sevilla’s night, we accept the result but acknowledge we still have the second leg,” Pique told reporters, as cited by Diario Sport.
“We know we have a week to prepare and also to coincide this with our good league form when we play Girona, so it is an important seven days coming up for us and we have to accept this.
“Their game-plan worked well and we were maybe not expecting that, but now we have time to recover and focus to put this right.
“Will Lionel Messi return? That is a decision for the Coach.”
