Fulham, Newcastle want Sevilla’s Ibrahim Amadou

English Premier League duo Newcastle United and Fulham are both interested in signing Sevilla midfielder Ibrahim Amadou, report Estadio Deportivo.

The 25-year-old joined Los Rojiblancos in the summer from Lille – a team who captained – last summer but he has only started two La Liga games to date this season.

12 of the Cameroonian’s 20 appearances to date have come across the Europa League and Copa del Rey – including Wednesday night’s start in the 2-0 defeat of Barcelona.

The form of Mudo Vazquez, Pablo Sarabia and Ever Banega has prevented Amadou from breaking into the first-team, alongside a number of niggling muscular injuries.

The midfielder reportedly wants to remain in Seville and the club’s idea is for him to stay, but that situation may well change.
