Alaves striker Borja Baston has praised his side for ‘never giving up’ after their draw in Girona kept them in fourth spot.
The former Eibar and Swansea striker netted in the second half for Abelardo’s side after Cristhian Stuani's remarkable bicycle kick had given Girona the lead.
“We never give up and we always keep pushing,” Borja told Spanish TV immediately after the game.
“This is a good result at a difficult ground, we keep our momentum and we continue to add points, we must keep working in this manner.”
Alaves have now moved up to 32 points, two points clear of Real Madrid in fourth spot – which would guarantee a Champions League place.
