Valencia defender Aderllan Santos, who cost the club €9.5m in 2015, has returned to the Mestalla following a loan stint at Vitoria.
Now 29, the central defender has two years left to return of his long-term deal at Los Che, for whom he has made just 29 first-team appearances since joining from Braga.
He has spent different loan spells at Sao Paulo and EC Vitoria in his native Brazil and is said by Marca to be among the highest earners at the club.
Valencia are said to be keen to offload Santos permanently in the January transfer window and if he does not leave before the end of his contract, he will cost the club an extra €5m in wages.
