DONE DEAL: Sevilla striker Luis Muriel joins Fiorentina on loan

Fiorentina have completed the loan signing of Sevilla striker Luis Muriel with an option to buy, it has been confirmed.

It had been reported that he was set to join Milan on a loan deal but he will instead join the Viola for the remainder of the season with a reported €13m option to sign permanently.

The Colombian joined Los Rojiblancos in the summer of 2017 in a €21.6m deal from Sampdoria but has fallen behind Wissam Ben Yedder and Andre Silva in the attacking preferences for Coach Pablo Machin.

Muriel has started just one La Liga game this term having found the net only seven times in 29 league outings last campaign.

Earlier this week, Marca reported on the player’s agent Alessandro Lucci has informed Sevilla of the interest from the Milanese giants, who failed in their attempt to re-sign Zlatan Ibrahimovic.

Lucci also represents Milan duo Suso and Bertolacci, while relations between the clubs are amicable following the recent loan move of Andre Silva to the Andalusian club.
