Former Denmark international forward Nicki Bille, who played for a number of Spanish clubs, has reportedly been shot in a murder attempt.
The 30-year-old currently plays for Danish club Lyngby and was shot in the arm by a stray bullet, Diario AS cite a report Ekstra Bladet as saying.
Reports say two people have been arrested in relation to the incident in Copenhagen, which was said to be an attempt on the life of the former Villarreal, Elche and Rayo Vallecano player.
A man and a woman have been charged over the incident and are currently being detained.
Bille scored once in three international caps for Denmark and played sporadically in Spain between 2010 and 2013.
