Nicki Bille feels the love

Nicki Bille Nielsen has spoken of the love he feels at Rayo Vallecano, the belief that he will soon start scoring goals and his penchant for facing Real Valladolid.

The 24-year-old striker is at Vallecas on a season long loan from Villarreal and has so far failed to find the net from five appearances for the team.

Even so, he spoke today of life at the club as being positive and the right environment for him to find his scoring touch once more in.

“Personally I have begun well, I’ve had a lot of minutes in the team and I know the League, which is different from La Segunda,” he told reporters today.

“Every day I am doing better and I’m just missing my first goal, I’m sure that will come soon. At Rayo I am comfortable and am very happy in the dressing room and with the Coach.

“I feel loved, I feel that the Coach wants me, my teammates too, and that helps me a lot. Strikers need confidence and I’m ready to score goals. I won’t lose focus nor will I ever give up.”

That declaration follows his relegation to the bench for the visit of Real Madrid on Monday night. The Dane had started the four League games previous to that.

“I’m not surprised by my replacement, because [Andrija] Delibasic scored twice against Atletico Madrid and deserved to be starting.

“The choice is the Coach’s and who plays does so because they have deserved it. I’m always prepared. Playing against Real Madrid was a dream, but I was on the bench, nothing happened.”

The player at least hopes a bit of history against next weekend’s opponents Real Valladolid will see him back in the starting XI.

“I know Valladolid very well, I’ve never played against them without scoring a goal and I hope to continue like this. I’ve played them twice and scored on both occasions.”
