Antonio Mohamed ‘does not want to speak’ about Celta Vigo sacking

Former Celta Vigo boss Antonio Mohamed ‘does not want to say too much’ about his dismissal from the club last week.

Mohamed was replaced by Miguel Cardoso in the Celta hotseat but he does not believe his 13-game stint at the club was an underachievement.

“I do not want to say too much,” Mohamed told Diario AS.

“The decision took me by surprise, but I must be respectful to decisions which are both good as bad and take everything in my stride.

“I prefer to keep silence on this issue as time will show everything and put everyone in their place.

“Had we beaten Real Madrid, we would have been sixth in the league, which was better than previous years gone by for this club.

“There was a lot of change in the squad this summer, we had to deal with many injuries while Aspas and Maxi Gomez came back into pre-season late.

“Everybody only sees what they want to see.”
