Champions League line-ups: Viktoria Plzen-Real Madrid

Luka Modric and Marco Asensio are benched for Real Madrid’s Champions League clash with Viktoria Plzen this evening.

Modric’s place in midfield is taken by Dani Ceballos, while Lucas Vazquez comes in for Asensio on the right wing.

However, Marcelo, Raphael Varane, Jesus Vallejo and Dani Carvajal all remain sidelined on Santiago Solari’s European debut.

Solari led Los Blancos to two wins in his first two games as caretaker Coach, with six goals scored and none conceded.

Despite their domestic struggles, Madrid are top of Group G and can stay there with victory over Plzen, whom they beat 2-1 last time out.
