Real Madrid have confirmed under-fire Coach Julen Lopetegui oversaw the club’s training session behind closed doors on Monday.
The training session took place behind closed doors following the European champions 5-1 defeat to Barcelona in Sunday’s El Clasico clash.
However, pictures from Real Madrid TV and from several Spanish media outlets showed the former Porto and Spain boss remained in-situ, despite reports he was on the verge of being dismissed.
Madrid face third-tier Melilla in the Copa del Rey on Wednesday evening but it remains unclear if Lopetegui will remain in charge by that point.
Several suggestions indicate the Coach will be fired later on Monday with Antonio Conte waiting in the wings.
