Real Madrid defender Nacho Fernandez insists the squad are behind Coach Julen Lopetegui ‘until death’ amid reports his future is under threat.
The European champions have gone four games without scoring a goal, losing three of those, to reportedly put the former Spain boss on the brink.
“All of the players are behind the Coach until death,” Nacho is cited by Spanish media as telling press agency EFE.
“We have been through situations which are worse than this and they have made us stronger, we must all stick together and fight.
“This club have proven that we will always fight for trophies and that we will never give up, it does not matter who the Coach is or who the players are.
“Cristiano Ronaldo? We cannot live in the past. At the start of the season we were scoring a lot and at Juventus he was not, but football changes quickly.
“He can score 50 goals a season but we must move on because we have quality throughout the squad and cannot dwell on this.”
