OFFICIAL: Huesca sack Coach Leo Franco

Huesca have sacked Coach Leo Franco after the newly-promoted club went seven matches without a win in the top flight.

Sunday’s 1-0 loss at Real Valladolid piled the pressure on Franco, whose side had not won since the opening day triumph at Eibar.

Huesca are now rooted to the bottom of the Spanish top flight and a board meeting held on Tuesday afternoon decided the former goalkeeper should be dismissed.

The Argentine was only appointed at El Alcoraz this summer after Rubi, who had guided the club to their first ever promotion to the top flight, left for Espanyol.

The former Argentina international shot-stopper ended his playing career at the club having previously enjoyed stints at Real Mallorca, Atletico Madrid, Real Zaragoza and Galatasaray.
