Real Valladolid owner Ronaldo Nazario admits the business side of the club is as important for him as producing a successful team.
The former Brazil striker completed his takeover of the Spanish club last month and has explained how this is was done with his money alone, and how he is approaching the venture.
“For an owner, the business side of things go hand-in-hand with team performance,” Ronaldo told El Norte de Castilla, as cited by Marca.
“It would be hypocritical for me to say I am not interested in the business and making this club very profitable is important just as the performance on the pitch and the dreams of the thousands of fans.
“I reached an agreement after long discussions with Carlos Suarez, even though there were approaches from other clubs, it was Valladolid who stood out.
“This was my decision with my money, it is my project alone. My dreams and ambitions. There is no investment group, those claims are false.”
