Isco approves of Luis Enrique ‘discipline’

Spain playmaker Isco has welcomed Luis Enrique’s ‘discipline’ and has given his approval to the ban on mobile phones.

Wednesday’s press coverage in Spain focused on the new national team Coach’s discipline including banning mobile phones at dinner and making players more focused, with less leeway.

“It's always important to have a little bit of discipline,” Isco told reporters at Thursday’s press conference.

“The ban on mobile phones seems good to me, sometimes we pay more attention to the machines than our teammates.

“The (playing) idea and philosophy that Luis Enrique brings is practically the same (as the idea of Julen Lopetegui) except for some nuances.

“Possession-based football is the one that has helped Spain achieve our successes over the years, it's what we know how to do right.

“Ronaldo leaving Real Madrid? Obviously Cristiano is an extraordinary player but if we win this year we will not miss him and vice versa.”
