Vidal: Barca a huge step from Bayern

New Barcelona signing Arturo Vidal has described joining the club as ‘a huge step forward from playing for Bayern Munich’.

The 31-year-old Chilean midfielder has arrived from the German champions in a deal thought to be in the region of €20m, becoming Barca’s fourth signing of the summer transfer window.

“Joining Barcelona means taking a huge step forward from playing for Bayern Munich,” Vidal told reporters, as cited by Diario Sport.

“Barcelona are the biggest club in the world and they have the best team in the world.

“I will try to improve this team by helping them winning all the titles and I promise to do my best in order to fulfil the expectation of this club.

“The confidence this club has placed in me is something I will forever be grateful for.

“My aim? I have a three-year contract, I want to win three league titles.”
