Super Cup key for Madrid plans

Real Madrid will wait until after their UEFA Super Cup clash with Atletico Madrid next month before deciding on attacking reinforcement, claim Marca.

The European champions have yet to sign an attacking replacement for Juventus-bound Cristiano Ronaldo and will analyse the roles of Gareth Bale and Karim Benzema during the match.

Media reports have suggested Bale will be shifted into the centre of attack to afford more playing time for both Isco and Marco Asensio.

Madrid have been linked with a series of attacking stars including Neymar, Kylian Mbappe, Mauro Icardi, Eden Hazard and Edinson Cavani but are yet to formally move for any.

The final against Europa League winners Atletico Madrid takes place in the Estonian capital Tallinn on 15 August.
