Sevilla have confirmed Roque Mesa as their first signing of the summer after the midfielder successfully completed a medical on Wednesday.
Mesa became Swansea City’s record signing last summer when they splashed out €13m to sign the deep-lying midfielder from Las Palmas.
However, the Spaniard struggled at the Liberty Stadium and was loaned out to Los Rojiblancos in January.
The 28-year-old started three matches under former Coach Joaquin Caparros, who is now Director of Football at the club, having not been selected by Vincenzo Montella.
Marca say Mesa’s move to Sevilla will be for an initial €8m plus an additional €2m in add-ons, with a contract signed until 2021.
