Deportivo have completed the signing of Real Betis goalkeeper Dani Gimenez who has explained “I’ve always liked Depor, despite being from Vigo!”
The 34-year-old has largely played understudy to Antonio Adan for Los Verdiblancos, who are set to sign goalkeeper Pau Lopez from Espanyol this summer.
“I have always liked Depor, even though I come from Vigo,” Gimenez told La Voz de Galicia.
“However, I have been away from Galicia for 15 years and these things blur your routes a little bit, I am excited to be back and play for a great club.
“I know how tough this move could be, it’s not a comfortable move as I’m joining a club who are disappointed, who have had problems and have been relegated, but I am positive.”
