Atletico Madrid defender Diego Godin believes teammate Antoine Griezmann has not yet made a decision about his future beyond this season.
The French forward has been linked with a move to Barcelona this summer, having strongly been linked to Manchester United last year, but Godin is hopeful he will stay at Los Rojiblancos.
“Nobody knows, we don’t think even he knows,” Godin told Spanish radio, as cited by Diario AS.
“We want him to remain for us and stay here for many years. Right now he is under contract and we want him to keep improving here with us.
“We love him and he brings an extra dimension to our team, so of course we want to continue like this.
“He tells us he is Uruguayan and maybe that there are so many (Uruguayans) here is a factor, because he eats and drinks likes us, and listens to Uruguayan music.”
