Atletico Madrid have been handed a boost with defender Filipe Luis recovering from a fractured fibula after just seven weeks.
The Brazilian defender was initially ruled out for the remainder of the campaign after being stretchered off in March’s Europa League victory at Lokomotiv Moscow.
The 32-year-old is in his second stint at Atleti having re-joined the club from Chelsea in 2015, with Sime Vrsaljko and Lucas Hernandez deputising in his absence.
Initial fears were that he could even miss this summer’s World Cup but he will now reappear for Diego Simeone’s side before the end of the current campaign and he has been included in the squad for the Europa League semi-final second leg against Arsenal.
