Fernando Torres is only ‘focused’ on winning his first ever competition with Atletico Madrid before he departs the club this summer.
The 34-year-old has never won a competition with Los Rojiblancos across his two spells, having played in England when the club won La Liga, the Copa del Rey, the Spanish Supercopa and Europa League crowns.
“My only focus right now is about winning my first title with Atleti,” Torres is cited by Marca as telling reporters after being quizzed on his lack of minutes.
“It does not help me or the team to think about anything else as right now we are two games away from competing in a European final.
“The attitude in the squad at the moment is very strong despite the fact we have a number of players unavailable or who have not been fully fit.
“It is tough to balance the league and European competition but we are attempting it and we know this season has been a good one.
“We will fight for the Europa League title and we know Arsenal present a big challenge.”
